For Arc builders ยท free, no API key
Give your new users their first gas on Arc
On Arc, USDC is the gas. A brand-new wallet holds none, so it cannot send a single transaction in your app. Add one line of HTML and your users get 0.01 USDC on Arc mainnet from our faucet, free. They only sign a message: no transaction, no fee, nothing to install.
Try it
Add it to your app
<div data-apex-arc-gas></div>
<script src="https://apexfaucet.xyz/arc/gas-widget.js" async></script>
Options on the div: data-theme="light" or "dark" (by default it follows the visitor's colour scheme), and data-address="0x..." to claim for a known address (that wallet still signs).
How it works
- The button asks the visitor's wallet for its address and signs today's challenge (EIP-191). That proves the visitor holds the key, and it costs nothing.
- Our server checks the signature and the limits, then calls our faucet contract on Arc mainnet,
0x53fb2e89834050afaa9b3090a1fc9d1064615805. The contract has no withdraw function: money leaves it only as claims. - The USDC arrives in about a second. The button shows the transaction.
Limits, stated plainly
- 0.01 USDC per claim. One claim per address every 8 hours, and one per connection every 8 hours.
- A daily cap, released in three parts across the day so every time zone gets a turn. When today's share is used, the button says when the next one opens.
- The faucet pays out what is in its pot and promises nothing beyond it. Live totals:
GET https://apexfaucet.xyz/api/arc/faucet. - Free, no API key, no sign-up. We count claims per website by the browser's Origin header (host name only), so we can see which apps use the button.
Agents without a browser use the same faucet directly: GET /api/arc/faucet/challenge/<address>, sign the message, then POST /api/arc/claim {address, signature}. The widget source is readable at /arc/gas-widget.js.
