§1What this token actually is

What is — possibly — interesting is what it inherits by virtue of being a token at all: every transfer, every mint, every burn is a measurement made permanent. The chain is a public ledger of observations. Once a transaction lands, the universe it describes cannot be uncollapsed.

This page is not a whitepaper. It is a small invitation to look at a familiar object — a coin — through the lens of a few questions older than the chain.

§2The measurement problem, refreshed

For a century, the central oddity of quantum mechanics has been that the observer seems to participate in the reality being observed. A particle in superposition has no determinate position until an interaction with the measurement apparatus collapses the wavefunction into a single outcome. Before that moment, the literature is at war: is the superposition a description of our ignorance, or of the particle itself?

John Wheeler's participatory anthropic principle took the strong view: the universe is not merely observed by minds — it is realized by them. Reality, on that view, is a feedback loop in which the act of observation is constitutive, not passive.

One way to read what blockchains do is as a small, technological echo of that loop. Until a transaction is observed by enough independent validators, it is a candidate state. Once observed and committed, it is real — to everyone, and irrevocably. The block is the measurement; the chain is the record of every wavefunction that has ever been collapsed inside it.
