Token safety check, a free connector for Claude

Ask Claude "is this token safe to buy?" and give it a contract address. It calls one read-only tool and answers in plain words: can you sell the token again, and what does the round trip cost.

What it does

One tool, token_safety_check. Input: tokenAddress and chain (base, arc, robinhood, solana or x1). Output: a verdict (BASED, MID, COOKED or RADIOACTIVE), the round-trip cost, a one-line summary and the rule that produced it.

What it does not do

It never moves money, never asks for a wallet or a key, and never signs anything. It reads public chain data and our own measurements. A verdict describes the exit right now. It is not advice and not a guarantee, and a token can change its rules later. If a read fails, the tool says so; it never shows a failed read as "clean".

Use it

Connector address (no sign-in): https://apexfaucet.xyz/api/mcp/safety

In Claude, add it as a custom connector with that address, then ask: "Check this Base token for me: 0x4F9Fd6Be4a90f2620860d680c0d4d5Fb53d1A825".

Limits

The check is free for people, with a daily limit per caller and a daily limit overall, so it stays free. Programs and bots that need more can pay per check over x402 (USDC) at /api/x402/token-verdict, from $0.01. There is also a web version.

Privacy and terms

We log the request address (token and chain) and a caller identifier to enforce the daily limit and to measure use. We do not ask for accounts or personal data. See the privacy policy and the terms.
